Defibrillator Donations
On Friday, April 29, the police departments of Gower and Holt each received a Samaritan Pad automated external heart defibrillator with an extra set of pads to be carried in a police vehicle.
Both units were presented by Doug and Kathy Lowe of Trimble. The defibrillators were purchased and donated by their business, Smithville Lake Storage, located in Trimble.
Each defibrillator will be put on the street in a duty car for possible response to a heart attack in the event the police may be more quickly available the an ambulance.
The Lowe's decided to begin donating these machines after a good friend suffered a massive heart attack and was revived with a defibrillator in 2007. The Lowes' business has purchased and donated six defibrillators and a seventh defibrillator was purchased with donations from a few community individuals and organizations in Clinton County
