The Clinton County R-III School District has found the next head coach of the Plattsburg Tigers football team.
The district has tabbed Brandon Boswell as the program’s next leader, replacing the outgoing Ross Rosenbaum, who is set to leave the district at the end of the school year. Boswell will be Plattsburg’s fifth head coach in six years. Jim Myers of Easton lost his battle with kidney cancer Friday, April 16. Friends and family are planning a fundraiser for Jim Myer’s family on Saturday, May 1 at 4 p.m.

The Clinton County Planning and Zoning Commission held two public hearings on Thursday, April 1, and spent time at the end of the meeting discussing the differences in the terms subdivide and subdivision, and plats and surveys, and how the county uses these in zoning issues.
The first hearing was a request by the trust of John and Mary Kay Anderson of Trimble, Mo., which was requesting a minor subdivide of 13.27 acres into 6.63 and 6.64 acre lots. These properties are located on the east side of 169 Highway west of F Highway, and south of 208th Street (Section 26; Township 54N, Range 33W). 10 Years Ago - As published in the March 31, 2011 Leader Gengelbachs Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award(Left) Gordon and Patty Gengelbach (seated) were honored with a lifetime achievement award by the Kansas City Regional Fox Trotting Horse Association on March 26 for their dedication to the group over the past 40 years. Therese Murray, KCRFTHA President, presented the award. The Gengelbachs have been married 67 years and in the past have been very active in the Plattsburg area with The Saddle Club, 4-H, Community Chorus, Chamber of Commerce and the First Christian Church - just to name a few.
