Tiger Friends at Ellis Elem.
Posted: September 06, 2018

Volunteers play a big role in the success of Ellis Elementary students through Tiger Friends, our community mentoring program. Tiger Friends help our Plattsburg students improve academic skills and build social competence. The program matches adults with students, who meet once a week for 30 minutes at school. During that time, they may practice math facts or spelling words, read a book, or play an educational game. We are in need of more volunteers for our Tiger Friends program. You don’t even need to be a parent or grandparent! If you are interested in Tiger Friends at Ellis Elementary, please contact Megan Thomas, School Counselor, by phone 816-539-2187 or email megan.thomas@ccr3.k12.mo.us.
