Four on One

Justin Pirtle, (white uniform) of the Lathrop Mules is outmanned by four players from East Buchanan. The Mules defeated the Bulldogs on overtime.

Coach Hughes of the Mules stated, "The recent LeBlond Tournament was a good one for us. The first was a bit weak, but after that, we got into some very good teams."

"We lost to Falls City, NE by 5 points and Fall City is the equivalent of the 3-A (larger) schools in our area. We played hard and lost by only 5 points which was good. We then played East Buchanan for third place and found that the Bulldogs have really improved. We beat them in overtime by 2 points in this tournament."

"We want to invite everyone to attend our tournament here in Lathrop next week. It should be a good one... which we know you will enjoy."

The remains of the snow and ice storm in the area over the weekend makes it difficult to travel.
As always the youth seem to make the best of adverse conditions, as the smiling boys show in their effort to push a stalled auto.
