Making purses from cigarette packs is a hobby Richard Mix learned while serving an 18 month prison term in Lansing, Kansas on check charges. Mr. Mix is presently in the Clinton County Jail awaiting a parole hearing, as the charges which brought him here have been dismissed. 1989: COLLINS NAMED GENERAL MANAGER... Bob Angle, left, owner of Plattsburg Lumber has named Cam Collins, right, as General Manager of the lumber, hardware and garden supply facility located at the west edge of Plattsburg. 2009: SANTA VISITS... The Plattsburg Chamber of Commerce and the City of Plattsburg hosted their annual Santa visit at the Community Courtyard on Thursday, December 10. More than 75 children and their families attended the event. The Longwell family of Plattsburg went all out as organizers of the evening. Children enjoyed decorating gingerbread cookies, making Santa ornaments, a cupcake walk and a puppet show. RT Photography of Plattsburg took the Santa pictures.
