1990: David Eads Featured in Missouri Game and Fish Magazine David Eads, Lathrop, was featured in the December 1990 issue of Missouri Game and Fish Magazine. A detailed story about him bagging the Missouri record setting dear kill was written by Lloyd N. Brown. According to the story the “Wide, tall and massive all accurately described David Eads’ 16-point trophy, which scored 201 5/8 B&C non-typical points. The “last-day buck” features 12- and 13-inch tines and a Missouri-record-setting 24 7/8 inch inside spread.” David shot the deer the last day of the season in ‘89 with an ironsighted, lever-action .32 Winchester Special. David also is an avid bow hunter. David scouts all year long awaiting the big thrill of getting the prize deer. He had seen two of these massive deer in September while mowing hay for his mother. He now has high hopes of bagging the other dear next season. The prize trophy has been mounted by Keith Rice, Kearney, and is proudly displayed in David and Vickey’s home in Lathrop. |
