1969: Derailed Train At Richmond Delays Service To Plattsburg For the first time in 100 years there wasn’t a Sante Fe train thru Plattsburg. Tuesday morning, Dec. 9, two diesel units and three piggyback cars derailed at 10:45 in Richmond. There isn’t a section crew from Henrietta to St. Joseph. They have to be called from the main line. Early Wednesday morning the crew had the tracks repaired and the train proceeded to St. Joseph. En-route back four car derailed at Rayville and the section crew had to return to make more repairs. 1989: DON’T FORGET SANTA’S REINDEER John George at D-Tone Feed and Grain hands Ashley Monger some Reindeer Feed.
