1970: The Par Tee Club held their Winner – Looser party Saturday evening at the James Walters home. A theme is usually planned for this party, however this year the party was just to be a cookout. The Winners decided to turn it into a political rally for Frank Gassman, candidate for County Collector. The picture shows the members of the club with their various political signs. 1990: Francis Hales, Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 9401 at Plattsburg and Tim VanHorn, financial secretary of the council, are shown presenting a check for $545.67 to Evelyn Clemens, Director of Clinco Sheltered Industries at Cameron. The money will be used for grounds improvement, Clemens said. This money was raised by the Knights through the annual Tootsie Roll sale. 2010: God Bless America The Plattsburg Pioneers 4-H Club visited Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron on Saturday, May 22 to share patriotic songs and poetry in honor of Memorial Day and the sacrifice the Veterans had made for their county.
