The Plattsburg Advance Drafting Class recently received a sweepstakes award in the Northwest Missouri Industrial Technology Contest in Maryville. The house was built for the purpose of learning the procedure builders follow in constructing a home. The steps in building were first discussed in the classroom and the knowledge then transferred to the shop for hands on experience.
The class project gives students better house planning and drawing skills and explains their knowledge in consumer and construction education. The plan for the house was drawn by the students and the materials was obtained and cut in the Industrial Arts Shop area.
