One new case confirmed in Clinton County After going three weeks without a new case of COVID-19, Clinton County has added another to the tally.
Clinton County Health Director Blair Shock said on Tuesday, May 5, that a new case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Clinton County just the previous day, bringing the county’s overall total to 13 cases. Of those, the previous 12 cases have recovered, Shock said. It is Clinton County’s first new confirmed case since April 11. The county had gone 23 days without a new case. The health department reported that a total of 545 tests have been performed in Clinton County. The shelter-in-place orders for both Clinton County and Missouri were lifted on Monday, May 4. The new public health emergency orders for Clinton County and the City of Plattsburg can be found on Page 10 of this issue, outlining how certain businesses will now be allowed to reopen and what restrictions will be in place as the entities move forward. Neither the City of Lathrop nor the City of Gower have official emergency orders in place, opting rather to use the county’s health orders (without the group recommendations). The City of Lathrop has announced that it is reopening its city hall lobby while the community room and community center remain closed. |
