NOTICE OF ELECTION
    The Tri-County Ambulance District will hold an election on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 for the purpose of electing board members from District 2 and 5 to serve three-year terms.
    All candidates shall file with the Secretary of the Ambulance District Board, Carol Sander, at the District Headquarters, 1703 W.  Highway 116, Plattsburg, Missouri beginning December 17, 2019 at 8 a.m. and ending January 21, 2020 at 5 p.m.  Call 816-539-2290 to set up an appointment.

OSBORN FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
Fire Board Filing Dates

   Persons interested in filing as a    candidate for the April 7, 2020 General Municipal Election for The Osborn Fire Protection District may do so from December 16, 2019 through January 17, 2020 by calling 816-649-8215 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon to obtain the appropriate paperwork. On January 17, 2020 at 5:00 p.m., the filing will close.

EAST BUCHANAN C-1 BOARD FILING DATES

     The East Buchanan C-1 Board has set Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at 8:00 a.m. thru Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. as filing dates for the Board of Education.  Between those dates, filing will take place during the district’s business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The Central Office will close for Christmas Break on December 20, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. and not reopen until January 6, 2020.  Any person interested in filing must do so in the Central office.
     Qualifications for office are:  Citizen of the United States, resident taxpayer in State for one year, and are at least twenty-four years of age.
     Senate Bill 380 information requires local board members elected after August 28, 1993 to complete 16 hours of orientation and training offered by a state wide association organized for the benefit of members of the Board of Education or approved by the State Board of Education.
    NEW FILING REQUIREMENTS:  Pursuant to 115.342, RSMO Each person that files for an elected position will need to complete this form and return it to the Missouri Department of Revenue.  This form states:  “That under penalties of perjury that they are not currently aware of any delinquency in the filing or payment of any state income taxes, personal property taxes, municipal taxes, or real property taxes on the place of residence, as stated on their declaration of candidacy, or that they are not a past or present corporate officer of any fee office that owes any taxes to the state, other than those taxes which may be in dispute.”  This form must be notarized and a copy returned to the election official.  Failure to comply may disqualify you from the ballot.  Upon request by the Department of Revenue, the candidate shall provide a copy of tax receipts for the candidate’s personal property, municipal, and real property taxes, and any other information necessary to demonstrate compliance with 115.341, RSMO.

PLATTSBURG CITY ELECTION


    Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 79.030, Revised Statutes of Missouri, I hereby give notice that the general election for the City of Plattsburg will be held on Tuesday April 7, 2020 for the purpose of electing the following officials:

Two Year Term-Mayor
Two Year Term- Alderman-First Ward
Two Year Term- Alderman-Second Ward
Two Year Term- Alderman-Third Ward

    The first day for Filing is December 17, 2019 and the closing date for filing for the above offices is January 21, 2020 at 5:00 PM at City Hall.
    Candidates may file at City Hall Monday thru Friday from 8am – 5pm. City Hall will be closed December 24th & 25th for Christmas, January 1st for New Year’s and January 20th for Martin Luther King Day.
    Polling places for Ward I, Ward II, and Ward III will all be located in the basement of the Clinton County Courthouse for your convenience.
    The polls for the election will be open between the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
    Clinton County R3 School District of Plattsburg, Missouri will receive sealed bids at 800 W Frost St Plattsburg MO 64477, for furnishing all new materials and labor for High school middle school link and secure entries & ellis improvements and secure entry.  The work includes, but is not limited to the following, all per the drawings and specifications.    
    •    Secure entry renovations at Ellis Elementary, Clinton County Middle School, and Plattsburg High School
    •    New addition linking the High School and Middle School
    •    Classroom, site, and general building improvements at Ellis Elementary
    Bids for all work will be received until 2:00 p.m., local time, on 08 JANUARY 2020, at which time they will be opened and publicly read aloud.
    There will be a Pre-Bid Conference on 18 DECEMBER, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., local time, at 800 W Frost St Plattsburg MO 64477. Contractors will be responsible for making site visits.

CLINTON COUNTY R-Ill BOARD FILING DATES
    The Clinton County R-Ill School District will accept declarations of candidacy from any person interested in running for a position on the School Board in the April 7, 2020 election. Filing dates for candidates are open from Tuesday, December 17,2019 at 8:00 a.m. and close on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Those wishing to file may do so by filling out a declaration of candidacy in the office of the Superintendent of Schools during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on days school is in session. There will be no school and the office of the Superintendent will be closed from December 22,2019 at 4:00 p.m. until Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 8 :00 a.m. Filing will not occur on days that the District is closed due to inclement weather. Filing will end on Tuesday, January 21,2020 at 5:00 p.m.
    The State of Missouri requires that Board of Education members be citizens of the United States, resident taxpayers of the district, shall have resided in this State for one year next
preceding their election or appointment and must be at least 24 years of age.
    There are three (3) positions available with three-year terms. Those members whose terms are expiring are David Dow, Keily O’Connor and Sam Martin. There is one (l) position available with a two-year term. The member whose term is expiring is Mark Coulter who was appointed to the position vacated by Jennifer Turley.                                                                                        12/5, 12c
